Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Reds, Mariners March 10 Spring Training Game
USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Reds will play the Seattle Mariners Friday at 3:10 p.m. ET at the Mariners' spring training home, Peoria Stadium in Peoria, Arizona.

29-year-old Connor Overton will start for the Reds. Overton made six appearances in 2022, clocking a 1-0 record, 2.73 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 165 ERA+ across 33 innings pitched.

Overton was selected in the 15th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins. After the Pittsburgh Pirates designated him for assignment following the 2021 season, the Cincinnati Reds signed him to a minor league deal.

George Kirby will start for the Mariners Friday, as he prepares for his sophomore year in the big leagues. Kirby posted an 8-5 record, 3.39 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 109 ERA+ in 25 starts and 130 innings in 2022. Some believe that the Mariners' 2023 pitching rotation may be the best in franchise history, as it features Kirby, Luis Castillo, Robbie Ray, Logan Gilbert, Marco Gonzales and Chris Flexen.
