Shohjahon Ergashev, the IBF #14-ranked super lightweight contender, is a well-liked southpaw puncher in the United States, particularly in his adoptive city of Detroit, where he trains at the Kronk Gym under the tutelage of legendary trainer SugarHill Steward. However, Ergashev is a household name with over 2.7 million Instagram followers in his home country of Uzbekistan. The 32-year-old most recently appeared in a national television ad for the Chery car brand.

Next up, on Thursday, March 28 at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, the hard-hitting Ergashev (23-1, 20 KOs) will square off against veteran Juan Huertas (17-4-1, 13 KOs) of Panama City in the 10-round super lightweight co-main event of "Big Time Boxing USA," which will be live streamed on DAZN (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT).

In the second "Big Time Boxing USA" event, which is sponsored by Salita Promotions, 2016 Olympian Juan Carrillo of Colombia challenges seasoned fighter Quinton Rankin in a 10-round light heavyweight match to win his undefeated record.

Ergashev, who is eager to resume fighting in good condition, feels that doing a car commercial was a great fit for him because he is currently residing in "Motor City."  “It’s extra special to fight my next fight in Detroit which is not only the capital for boxing but is also the capital for cars. I am speeding towards another world title fight and can’t wait for March 28," said Ergashev.

Dmitriy Salita a professional boxer and world-title challenger is the founder of Salita Promotions. He is Ergashev's longtime promoter and claims the advertisement is a fitting prelude to his fighter's recovery from an injury and loss.

“Detroit is the Automotive Capital of the United States and the timing of this commercial couldn’t be more perfect. Ergashev is a massive star at home and he will have many fans supporting him on March 28. With a strong performance, another world title fight and a rematch with Subriel Matias may be around the corner,” said Dmitriy Salita.

In a primary supporting fight, Mike Guy, a formidable opponent, will face back against IBF No. 2 super middleweight contender Vladimir Shishkin over ten rounds.
